The Seven Lochs Launches New 10km Trail
The Seven Lochs Wetland Park is launching an exciting new trail on the 2nd June and we would love you to come along and experience just what the Seven Lochs has to offer!
The 10km Seven Lochs Trail links Hogganfield Park to Drumpellier Country Park and takes you through some of the Parks most significant natural and cultural heritage sites.
On the day of the launch, there will be a host of family-friendly activities to take part in. Join one of our guided walks or cycles or hire a bike and go off on your own park adventure! Learn all about the wonderful water birds that live at Hogganfield, explore the new nature sculptures at Cardowan Moss, experience life in the Iron Age at Drumpellier or take some time out and relax with tea and cake at historic Provan Hall.
Over the summer months, we are also running a series of Family Explorer Walks around the Wetland Park. These walks will give families the opportunity to explore their local green spaces and learn more about the plants and animals found there. In some sessions, we will also get creative and make craft items to take home.
Our next event is Saturday 26th May at Hogganfield Park where we will try our hand at pond dipping to discover what creatures are living beneath the surface.
Details of all upcoming events can be found at www.sevenlochs.org.
