On Saturday, 26th October, hundreds of local families descended on Baillieston’s Main Street for the fifth annual Halloween Ghost Trail. It was like a giant game of hide-and-seek with Boo-tlejuice, and everyone came dressed to impress or at least to scare. The delightful chaos started and ended at Hoolit Gifts’ shop (where Jack and Victor got roped in to help) and Hope Hall.
Even Brighter Baillieston and The East End Fox couldn’t resist joining the shenanigans at Hoolit. Meanwhile, the community team from Morrisons rolled up their sleeves to host some tables. A massive shoutout to everyone involved: the brave souls who turned up; the shops with windows so spookily decorated they might attract poltergeists; and the generous businesses that threw in some fabulous prizes. Carole, Mary & Daytona,
Baillieston Community Spirit Oh, and Swinton Community Council got into the spirit by organising a wordsearch competition, dangling shiny Smyths vouchers in front of three lucky winners. And now, feast your eyes on some snaps from the day! (Warning: photos may contain mini ghosts, witches, and sugar-crazed children.)
